Weather warning for heavy rain in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset

A WEATHER warning has been issued for parts of Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset.

The Met Office says heavy rain is expected and has issued a yellow warning running between midnight tonight and 10am tomorrow morning (Saturday).

Downpours could bring spray and flooding leading to “difficult driving conditions”, as well as bringing delays to public transport and possible flooding of homes and businesses “is possible”, forecasters warned.

The forecast has led to the postponement of Wimborne Christmas Fair, which has been rescheduled for next weekend.

And it comes after a series of other weather warnings in recent weeks as the counties are battered by heavy rain and high winds.
