VODAFONE has been named the official ‘connectivity partner’ of the Glastonbury Festival.
The mobile phone giant has replaced EE as the official provider at the event, which runs at Worthy Farm between June 21 and 26.
And the firm said the deal would mean a new official app for the festival, as well as free charging in the fields and the chance for Vodafone customers to access tickets through its ‘VeryMe’ rewards scheme.
“We’re pleased to report that Vodafone has today announced a multi-year partnership with Glastonbury as the Festival’s Official Connectivity Partner,” said a festival spokesperson.
“Vodafone’s award-winning network will be increased to the highest capacity ever at Worthy Farm, making sure friends and families can stay connected to each other.”
They added: “Vodafone customers will be able to gain access to Glastonbury 2023 tickets via its VeryMe Rewards programme. VeryMe promotions and experiences will also be available to everyone who is at the festival.
“Throughout the partnership Vodafone will also use its technology to support the Festival in its technical and network requirements.”
