FOUR teenagers are due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault in Sherborne which left a youngster with a fractured jaw and a chipped tooth.
The incident, at around 5.30pm on Friday, July 15, 2022, saw a 14-year-old local boy assaulted by a group of male teenagers in Pageant Gardens, Station Road.
The victim attended hospital for treatment for the jaw and tooth injuries, as well as cuts and bruises.
Following an investigation by detectives from Weymouth CID, supported by local officers, two 14-year-old boys from Sherborne and two 14-year-old boys from Yeovil have been charged with an offence of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Two of the boys have also been charged with an offence of sending a public communication of an indecent and menacing nature.
All four teenagers are due to appeal at Weymouth Youth Court on Wednesday, February 8.
