Stalbridge WI raises charity funds at three events

STALBRIDGE WI has been busy fundraising – hosting and helping at a trio of events.

Over the past two months, the group has been involved in organising community events, raising money for a number of causes, as well as offering residents the chance to enjoy the gatherings, held in the Community Hall.

The first event was the 50th anniversary of the hall’s opening, when the WI laid on a supply of tea and cakes.

This was followed a week later by a Ladies’ Fashion Show & Pop Up Shop, with 100-plus people attending.

The third involved setting up and running an all-day café, with cake and beverages on offer for attendees at a village Freshers Day, where local clubs exhibited their wares, acquiring new members.

The WI is ready to present cheques to the Stalbridge Community Hall, the Gugg, St Mary’s Church, the Congregational Church & Stalbrite, as well as adding a little to its own funds.
