SHERBORNE Ladies U14s, sponsored by Morton New Estate Agents and Battens Solicitors, started their defence of the County Cup with a bang with a 26-goal win against Portland Poppies.
The match was postponed twice because of the cold snap before Christmas and was reversed to be played at Portland.
The girls wasted no time once the game got under way and were in a commanding lead by half-time and it was pretty much the same story in the second half.
Nine goals came from top scorer Cassie, who has now gone past 50 goals for the season, plus six from Lauren, five from Keira and other goals from Olivia, Emma and Pixie.
Player of the match was debutant centre back Lily who had a brilliant game in the heart of the defence.
