Power tools worth thousands stolen in early-morning burglary near Blandford

POWER tools – including a chainsaw, hedge trimmers and PPE equipment – worth around £2,660 were stolen during a burglary near Blandford Forum.

The incident happened at around 2am on Sunday morning (August 3), police said, after entry was gained to a property in the Tarrant Gunville area.

PC Shaun Fewell, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this burglary and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area overnight between Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 3.

“I would also be keen to hear from anyone who has come across any tools matching those described being offered for sale locally or online in suspicious circumstances.”
