New handrail installed at landmark Shaftesbury walkway

A NEW handrail has been installed on a landmark Shaftesbury footpath.

The Jubilee Steps were closed for work to replace the guards, with work now complete and the walkway open.

“We are really pleased with the new handrail on the Jubilee Steps, which has now been fully installed and painted,” said a spokesperson for Shaftesbury Town Council.

“It blends in so well and just looks wonderful.

“Thank you to all for your patience whilst the steps were closed and thank you to Ian Thackray, blacksmith, and his team for the great work.”
