Motorbike with flip number plate seized by police in Farnham

AN uninsured motorbike rider saw his vehicle seized after police noticed his number plate was not visible.

Officers from Dorset Police stopped the 20-year-old rider in the Dorset village of Farnham after they spotted the bike did not have a visible number plate.

The number plate had been flipped up to obscure it from view, according to Dorset Police.

“Upon investigation, it was discovered the reason for this was that the rider had no insurance,” a spokesperson for Dorset Roads Policing Officers said.

The rider – who only gained a full licence six months ago – was reported for no insurance and for having a non-compliant number plate.
