POLICE investigating an assault in Wimborne in which a man was punched and kicked are appealing for information about a white van.

Officers responded to the assault by two unknown men at 10.22pm on Sunday, January 18 in the car park of The Coach and Horses pub in Poole Road.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to head and facial injuries.

The two men were reported to have come from a white van.

Detective Constable Chloe Norman of Dorset County CID said: “We are carrying out fast-paced enquiries into this incident, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a white van in the vicinity or parked in the pub car park around the time of the incident.”
