Man rescued from fire at property in Frome

A MAN was rescued from a property in Frome after a fire.

For crews were sent to the address at around 8.26pm on Friday night (January 19) after reports a person was inside a property which was alight.

“Upon arrival crews confirmed that the property was smoke filled, very quickly rescuing a male from the property,” a spokesperson for the Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.

Throughout the incident, crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan, they added.

“Crews reported minimal damage caused to the premises by the fire,” the spokesperson said.

“The cause is believed to be accidental.”
