POLICE are investigating a suspected aggravated burglary in Blandford where a man suffered injuries to his head and hand.
Dorset Police were called to Damory Court Street on Saturday, December 13 at 1.40am following reports that a man had sustained injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers carried out detailed enquiries at the address, with a scene in place for two days and extra patrols carried out in the area.
A local man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police are also working to identify whether anyone else was involved.
The address is subject to a partial closure order, and the local neighbourhood policing team is working with the housing provider in relation to the property.
