Man in court over alleged raid at Shaftesbury Football Club ground

A MAN has been charged with an alleged burglary at Shaftesbury Football Club.

It was reported that at around 1am on Friday, November 24 last year, entry was gained to the bar area at the Coppice Street ground and a number of bottles of alcohol stolen.

“Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a 33-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested and has been charged with burglary,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“He appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (January 6) and is next due to appear at the same court on Friday (January 12).”
