Man ‘dragged woman with pushchair up the street’ during Frome assault

A MAN grabbed a woman – who was pushing a pushchair – and ‘dragged her up the street’ in Frome, police said.

Officers said the incident occurred after the pair were seen arguing in the Wallbridge and Portway area at around 5.30pm on Sunday, September 3.

Avon and Somerset Police said a member of the public reported the incident.

“She had a pushchair with her at the time of the incident,” a spokesperson said.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on the same day on suspicion of assault by beating, they added.

He has been released on conditional bail while further enquiries are completed.
