Man attacked by woman at four different locations in Dorchester

A MAN who was hit in the face multiple times by a woman in Dorchester was reportedly assaulted by the same woman on three other occasions.

Police arrived near the Dorchester West train station just after midnight last Saturday (July 19) after receiving reports that a bag containing a wallet and keys had been stolen.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they were met with an altercation between a man and a woman who knew one another.

The victim, a Weymouth man in his 30s, said that he had been hit in the face multiple times by the woman that evening.

He also revealed that the same woman reportedly attacked him before this, both inside and outside The Royal Oak pub at 10pm last Friday (July 18) and outside Café Jagos at around 11pm on High West Street.

He said that the woman had also assaulted him outside the Dorchester Trinity Sports Club in Trinity Street at 11.30pm.

PC Harry Amos, of Dorchester Police, is keen to hear from any witnesses.

He said: “We are continuing to investigate these incidents and ascertain the full circumstances of what happened that night.

“We know that there were a number of people in The Royal Oak pub and Jagos bar that evening and so I am keen to hear from any witnesses who saw what occurred.

“I would also ask any motorists driving down High West Street or Trinity Street during the aforementioned times to please review their dashcams to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
