Group in Warminster crash row “in possession of weapons”, say police

GROUPS from vehicles involved in a three-car crash near Warminster had weapons, according to police.

Officers investigating the incident, which happened on the A36 between the Victoria Road roundabout and Warminster Services at around 7.30pm on November 2, have appealed for information from anyone in the area at the time.

The said a row broke out between the occupants of a white Ford Mondeo, a silver BMW 1 Series, and a black Volkswagen Golf with a defective headlight.

“Threats were made between occupants of the vehicles and those travelling in the Ford Mondeo are believed to have been in possession of weapons,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.

“The vehicles were driven off at speed from Victoria Road out towards the bypass in the direction of Westbury.

“We are keen to speak to any witnesses as well as anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation.”
