A NEW golf simulator and sandwich bar can now be built in Shaftesbury following the approval of plans.
A change in use planning application to convert Unit 2D at the Wincombe Business Centre into a new business called Tee-Time was approved by Dorset Council today (September 9).
According to the plans, this would be the only golf simulator in the town.
The golf simulator would sit on the first floor and would be used by one person at a time on a pre-booked basis, while the sandwich takeaway bar would occupy the ground floor.

“The intention is that the takeaway will be available to customers using the golf simulator or, predominantly, to ‘walk-ins’ from others working at the Wincombe Business Centre,” the plans stated.
The proposal received support from Shaftesbury Town Council, with councillor Jack Jeans saying it would be a “fantastic opportunity for our residents.”
The decision notice states that construction must begin within three years of the approval.
