FIRE crews were called to a One Stop in Gillingham on Wednesday after four air conditioners caught alight at 8.10pm on Wednesday (July 23).
“Crews from Gillingham and Shaftesbury, along with an appliance from Frome (Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue) were mobilised and on arrival found a fire involving four air-conditioning units alight on the outside of the commercial premises, which had spread to some timber cladding,” a Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said.

“Firefighters used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and no casualties were reported. Our stop came in at 8.47pm.”
