A COW unable to get out of pond prompted a callout for firefighters in Gillingham.
The incident unfolded at just after midday on Saturday (October 29) in Kingscourt Road.
A crew from Gillingham, together with Poole technical rescue teams and an animal trained officer, were called to assist at the rescue.
A DWFRS spokesperson said: “A farmer called to report that a cow was submerged in a pond and unable to get itself out.
“Although the firefighters were standing by ready to assist, their intervention was not needed, as the farmer managed to use farm machinery to remove the animal from the water.”
