The Walk of Witness, organised through Churches Together in Gillingham, revived a long-standing tradition on Good Friday.
It started from outside the Barn Surgery and went to St Mary’s Churchyard, with stops for prayer and songs at Gillingham school gates, the centre of town (Estate Agent Corner), the Methodist Church and the war memorial.
The walk, which had been suspended for two years during lockdown, was rounded off with refreshments supplied by Rev. Lin Francis and Gillingham Methodist Church.
