EMERGENCY crews sprang into action on Christmas Day to rescue two people and a dog trapped in a barn after the door mechanism failed, locking them in with no escape route.
Firefighters from Charmouth Fire Station were called to the scene at 5.51pm on December 25, quickly assessing the situation and setting to work using small tools to break open the lock.
The swift response paid off, and the grateful group, including the four-legged family member, were freed unharmed.
“No matter the day, we’re proud to serve our community,” a crew member said, reflecting on the events.
The rescue team returned to station at 6.45pm, ready to spend the rest of Christmas with their loved ones.
