POLICE are keen to identify these two people after a “serious assault” at a Bridport pub.
The incident unfolded at around midnight on Thursday, May 8, at The Bridport Dagger pub in East Street.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said the victim – a man in his 30s – was leaving the pub with a friend when a member of the pub staff was confronted by two other men who were refusing to leave.
“An altercation ensued in which the member of the pub staff was pushed to the floor and the victim was punched to the side of the head, causing him to also fall to the ground,” they went on.
“The victim attended hospital for treatment to a serious jaw injury.
“It was further reported that the two suspects racially abused two other men who attended the pub earlier that evening.”

PC James Harper added: “As part of my investigation, I am issuing a CCTV image of two men I would like to identify.
“I would ask anyone who recognises them to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would also ask the two men who were reported to have been racially abused by the suspects to please come forward so we can take your account of what happened that evening.”
