Catapults confiscated in Poundbury after damage to car and houses

TWO young men had their catapults confiscated in Poundbury, Dorchester after a car and houses in the area were damaged.

Dorset Police said they were made aware of a small number of houses and a car being damaged by what they believe to be a catapult.

Officers embarked on targeted patrols in the area and spotted two young men who were reportedly acting suspiciously near Peverell Avenue East on Friday evening (August 29).

The pair then ran off after spotting the officers, but were subsequently stopped and searched.

Both were found with catapults, ball bearings and marbles which were seized by officers.
