At Shaftesbury Primary School, the staff work as a team to help everyone at the school be the best that they can be.
One very special member makes a particularly unique contribution.
Bobbie, a one-year-old Jack Russell, bounds into school every day, tail thumping and raring to go. Belonging to the headteacher, Mr Lavis, Bobbie is much more than a pet or mascot.
Still a puppy, Bobbie is a true working dog. She spends time with children as part of an in-school reward scheme, and helps to settle those who may be having a difficult day. Bobbie is also training to work with and encourage young readers – a young dog learning new tricks!
Bobbie makes everyone smile as she accompanies Mr Lavis on his duties.
