Biker, 22, killed after crash near Dorchester

YOUNG Weymouth biker Jet Thomas-Day sadly died after a crash near Dorchester.

The 22-year-old died after a crash at around 11.10am on Saturday, August 23, which involved the red Benelli motorbike he was riding and a white Vauxhall Corsa, in Warmwell Road, Crossways.

The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries, said PC James Hazell, of the Roads Policing Team.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who very sadly died in this collision,” he added.

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision and would like to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“I am particularly keen to hear from the driver of a blue Ford Fiesta which travelled southbound on the B3390, from Crossways to Warmwell, around the time of the collision. They may have information that could assist our enquiries.”

Anyone with information about the crash should contact Dorset Police via www.dorset.police.uk, email scit@dorset.pnn.police.uk, or call 101, quoting reference 55250125765.
