Arrests after “disturbance” at address in Dorchester town centre

A MAN and a woman were arrested after “a disturbance” at a property in Dorchester, police said.

The incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon (May 3) at “an address in the town centre”, officers said.

“We arrived quickly at the location and the disturbance was still ongoing,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“One male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and taken to custody. He will be charged in due course and appear in Court at a later date.

“A female was also arrested on suspicion of breaching a Housing Injunction Order that is in place as a result of ongoing anti-social behaviour at the address.

“She will remain in police custody and appear before the next available court.

“Many thanks to our response officer colleagues for their assistance.

“We will continue to take positive action and work closely with our partner agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour and make Dorchester a safer place to live and visit.”
