A MOTORIST who beeped their horn during a common assault in West Parley last month is being asked to come forward.
Shortly after 9am on Friday, November 28, a man and woman known to each other were involved in a verbal altercation at a Christchurch Road address.
The man is said to have made threats to harm the woman before following her for a short time when she fled.
A local man aged in his 40s, arrested on suspicion of common assault, has been released on bail.
A spokesman for East Dorset police said: “We are continuing to investigate the matter and are appealing for anyone who was in Christchurch Road around the relevant time and who may have witnessed anything or captured any relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I am particularly keen to speak to a motorist who was in the area and is reported to have beeped their horn during the incident as we believe they may have witnessed what happened.”
