Appeal for information after late-night car fire in Blandford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a suspicious vehicle fire in Blandford.

Officers were alerted by the fire service at 11.40pm on Monday, December 22 after an unoccupied vehicle was found on fire in Edward Street.

It is believed the blaze was started deliberately and enquiries are ongoing.

PC Georgia Hedditch, of North Dorset Police, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone in the area who may have seen or heard any suspicious behaviour that may help our enquiries.

“I would also like to ask anyone in the vicinity with home CCTV, or any motorists who were travelling in the area, to please check their footage for anything of relevance around the time of the incident.”
