POLICE have obtained a Closure Notice on a property in Shaftesbury in response to concerns over “drug activity and anti-social behaviour”.

Dorset Police said the property, in Ten Acres, was boarded up in a bid to “improve safety and quality of life” for neighbours and nearby residents.

A Closure Notice is obtained through the courts under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

Elsewhere, officers said they were continuing to “work with those involved in a complex neighbourhood dispute, providing support and working towards a resolution”.

Police said a male has also been arrested in connection with the theft of a van, which was subsequently recovered, while area PC Chris assisted the Ambulance Service following an altercation at Riversmeet Park, “ensuring those involved received the necessary support”.

“We continue to work closely with partner agencies to gather evidence regarding ongoing anti-social behaviour involving tenants in the area,” a spokesperson added.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to report concerns and work with us to help keep our communities safe.”
