Man charged over crash which claimed the life of teenager Zebedee Watson

A PURBECK man is due to face a charge of causing death by dangerous driving in connection with a crash that killed teenager Zebedee Watson.

Zebedee, of North Dorset, sadly died after an incident in Poole at around 5pm on Friday, November 28, last year.
Police said a crash involving a DAF truck and a silver motorcycle occurred at the Holes Bay North Roundabout.

The 17-year-old was riding the motorcycle and sadly died at the scene.

“A detailed investigation was commenced and, following extensive enquiries, a 55-year-old Purbeck man has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at court on Tuesday, July 28, for an offence of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving,” a Dorset Police spokesperson said.

“Officers have been continuing to support Zebedee’s family and they have been updated with the latest development in the investigation.”
