A MAJOR police operation in Gillingham has led to the seizure of drugs, drug paraphernalia, an offensive weapon and firearms ammunition.
Officers from the neighbourhood policing team carried out the warrant in Buckhorn Weston on Tuesday after acting on intelligence from the public.
The warrant, secured under Section 8 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act by PC Brad last week, followed reports relating to suspected drug activity in the village.

Police were joined by colleagues from North and East Dorset neighbourhood teams, Avon and Somerset Police, as well as specialist dog and drone units, during the operation.
North Dorset Police said a number of items were recovered from the property, including suspected drugs, drug-related paraphernalia, an offensive weapon and firearms ammunition.
An investigation is now continuing to establish who the seized items belong to.
Police said the drugs will be destroyed.

In a message to residents, Gillingham NPT thanked the community for coming forward with information, saying the warrant was made possible because of intelligence shared by the public.
Officers also praised the support of teams from across the force – including dog handlers, drone operators and neighbouring police colleagues – who helped carry out the operation.
Police are continuing to urge anyone with information about suspected drug activity or crime in their area to report it, saying community intelligence remains vital in tackling offending.
