POLICE officers met with residents in Mere this week as part of efforts to strengthen links with the community and address any concerns.
Neighbourhood officers spent time speaking with members of the public outside Mere Clock Tower on Tuesday afternoon (March 10).
PC Tiley and PCSO Moore were on hand to answer questions, discuss issues and hear residents’ views about policing in the area.
The informal meet-and-greet gave people the chance to raise concerns directly with officers.
Residents who missed the opportunity will have another chance to speak with them later this week during a community safety event at Mere Lecture Hall on Friday, March 13, at 4pm.
The event, organised with Mere Town Council, will form part of the town’s Safe Day activities and aims to bring together residents, police and community representatives.
Officers will be offering crime prevention advice, discussing community safety issues and providing guidance for anyone seeking support or reassurance.
The drop-in event is open to everyone, and residents are encouraged to attend if they would like to speak with the policing team, ask questions or share concerns about issues affect.
