PEOPLE affected by dementia can meet new people in a friendly and social environment in Sherborne over the next few months.

Alzheimer’s Society is running two groups – Singing for the Brain and the Memory Café – between 10am and 12 noon at Digby Hall in Hound Street until April.

Singing for the Brain takes place on the first and third Monday of the month, while the Memory Café is open on the second and fourth Monday.

Sherborne mayor Cllr Jill Warburton went along to meet and recognise the work of Jim Marshall and the team of staff and volunteers last month.
