Residents speak out on local issues at mobile police station

FERNDOWN residents had the chance to speak directly with officers this week when East Dorset Police brought its mobile police station to Sainsbury’s car park.

PC Julia Ratcliffe and Sgt Jane Moore from the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team were on hand to answer questions and help with a range of concerns.

Topics raised by the public included neighbour disputes, anti-social behaviour and theft.

Officers have confirmed they are following up with partner agencies to address these issues.

The event also gave people the opportunity to complete priority surveys, helping the police team focus on what matters most to the community.

“We want to hear what matters to you and take positive action,” said the team.

The Mobile Police Station will return to Sainsbury’s in Ferndown on February 3, from 11am to 1pm.

Residents who cannot attend can still report incidents online or call 999 in an emergency.

East Dorset Police encourages everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to engage, ask questions and help shape policing priorities in the area.
