Police appeal after group target teen in street robbery

POLICE are investigating a robbery in East Dorset in which a teenager was hit and had his bike stolen.

During the evening of Wednesday, November 26, a 16-year-old boy was cycling in Victory Way in St Leonards when three teenagers approached him and asked him to empty his pockets.

The victim was hit in the face by one of the group – causing minor injuries.

His bike, described as an arctic blue coloured Specialized Rockhopper, was taken.

PC Megan Norbury, of East Dorset police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident to identify those responsible.

“I am now issuing an image of the stolen bike in the hope that someone may have seen it either discarded or for sale locally in unusual circumstances.

“If you have any information about this incident, please get in touch.”
