DETECTIVES have arrested two people on suspicion of attempted murder following a reported stabbing in Christchurch.
Police were called at 10.37pm on Monday, December 29 following reports that a man had suffered stab wounds in Dennistoun Avenue.
Emergency services attended and the victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment.
A police cordon was put in place at the scene while officers carried out detailed enquiries.
Following investigative work, a 33-year-old man from Christchurch and a 35-year-old woman from Poole were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Both remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
Detectives are urging anyone with information that could assist enquiries to come forward.
