POLICE have reassured the community after receiving reports of a person carrying a weapon near Shaftesbury.
Officers responded at around 2:30pm yesterday (December 28) when a person in the Ludwell area was allegedly spotted with a weapon.
Upon arrival, officers quickly established that this was not the case. No weapons were found and the area was declared safe.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment related to mental health concerns.
