TWO drivers were killed in a crash involving two cars on Saturday (December 13) in Knowlton.
Police received a report at 6.05pm that a black Audi A4 and a Blue Volkswagen T-Roc had collided on the B3078 near the junction of Lumber Lane.
Emergency services attended and the drivers of the vehicles, two men aged 24 and 57 and both from Poole, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Their families have been informed. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the two people who sadly died at this extremely difficult time.
“We are continuing to make enquiries as we seek to establish the full circumstances of this incident.
“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the relevant timeframe to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything to assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.
“We recognise this causes significant disruption but is necessary to allow the emergency services to respond and for a detailed examination of the scene by our officers.”
