Arrest after claims of racial abuse at Dorchester pizza takeaway

A MAN was arrested after reports a person walked into a pizza takeaway restaurant in Dorchester and hurled racial abuse at two customers.

Police are appealing for information after an incident at the Domino’s Pizza outlet outside Dorchester West train station at between 4pm and 5pm on Monday (November 17).

A 37-year-old man, from Dorchester, was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence in connection with the incident.

PC Livi Soper, of the Volume Crime Team, said: “We take all reports of hate crime very seriously and are exploring all lines of enquiry in relation to this incident.

“We have not yet been able to identify the two victims and so we are asking those involved to please get in touch with us.

“We would also like to hear from any other witnesses who have not yet spoken with police. You may have information that could assist our enquiries.”
