Car in “suspicious circumstances” seized by police in Shaftesbury

A CAR that was reported to be seen in “suspicious circumstances” in Shaftesbury was seized after a check found the driver did not have valid insurance.

Officers from Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, supported by officers from the force’s operations department, found the car on Maple Road yesterday (August 21) where it was taken off the roads.

“The occupants, who were not from the Shaftesbury area, had a long walk home,” a spokesperson for the force said.

“If you see something that doesn’t seem quite right, please report it.”
