TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash in Mere

Emergency services were called to the scene, on the A303 at Chaddenwick Hill, at just after 10.50am on Monday (November 21) morning.

A spokesperson for the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Gillingham and Shaftesbury were sent to the scene.

“The first attending crew arrived quickly on scene and confirmed that a single vehicle had left the carriageway,” they said.

“Two occupants of the vehicle managed to self-extricate and were transported to hospital by another family member.

“Crews made the vehicle safe before handing the incident over to the police.”
