Police release CCTV image after theft from Gillingham supermarket

Police have released a CCTV image of a person they would like to identify after a theft at a Gillingham supermarket.

At around 12.45pm on Wednesday, August 17, a man entered Asda in Station Road and stole a number of bottles of alcohol with a total value of around £600.

PC Clifford Ryan, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man we would like to identify.

“I appreciate the images are not the best quality, but I am hoping someone may be able to recognise him, possibly through the distinctive tattoo on his right bicep that can be seen.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to this man’s identity to please come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police online via www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220134074.
