Every year, fungi enthusiasts come together to enjoy the many wonders of the hidden world beneath your feet. Join Andy from Jurassic Coast Mushrooms, on this fascinating guided mushroom walk through the forest at Happy River.

Together, we’ll wander the woodland trails, slowing down to explore the forest floor and discover the incredible variety of fungi that emerge as the seasons change. Along the way, you’ll hear captivating stories and folklore about fungi, learn about their vital role in the woodland ecosystem, and gain a deeper appreciation for these often-overlooked woodland wonders.

As we walk, we’ll collect and photograph a selection of the wild and wonderful specimens we encounter before returning to Happy River HQ for a hands-on identification session. Gather around our fungi ID table to examine the treasures we’ve found, learn how to recognise different species, and discover more about their fascinating characteristics and behaviours.

We’ll round off the experience with a selection of delicious fungi-inspired drinks and seasonal treats, giving you time to chat, share discoveries, and soak up the magic of the woodland.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, a curious nature lover, or already captivated by the world of mushrooms, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn something new, and see the forest through a different lens.
