WREXHAM AFC’s very own Hollywood superstar – no, not that one – posed for a photo with the managers of a Blandford café.
The chance encounter came after managers of The Kitchen at Blandford travelled to Blackpool on Monday (April 21) to watch Blackpool play Wrexham.
Dan Dunford and his wife Laura watched the match out of an executive box at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road stadium for Laura’s uncle’s 70th birthday.
After the match, which saw Wrexham win 2-1, the pair said they noticed that the away director’s box was just a few doors down.

“We kept peeking around the corner hoping to see either Rob McElhenney or Ryan Reynolds but it didn’t look likely,” Laura said.
“But as we were leaving, we bumped into Rob and stopped him to ask for a photo, which he was more than happy to oblige.
“I joked that there was an excited young man who really wanted to meet him – I just didn’t explain it was my husband!”
She added: “We had to be quick, as he was soon swamped by fans, but he was so lovely and polite. He couldn’t have been nicer and seemed to have time for everyone there.
“It was such a lovely bonus to what was a great family day out.”
McElhenney was seen amongst the rowdy Wrexham fans throughout the game as they went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Dobson and Rodríguez before a late consolation goal from Blackpool’s Morgan.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said McElhenney gave a “rousing” speech to players before the crucial game, as the club looked to bounce back from a shock 4-0 loss at home to Charlton Athletic.
The club currently sits in second place, and while the top spot is out of reach, an impressive and successive third promotion-winning season is still on the cards.
McElhenney’s work includes It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Mythic Quest and, of course, Welcome to Wrexham.
The Kitchen at Blandford can be found on Salisbury Street.
