A WORLD champion pole dancer will lead the way at a dance event in Sturminster Newton.
The fourth Dance For Life show comes to the Exchange on October 28, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The programme includes classical ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, musical theatre, tap, pole-dance, commercial, Latin, ballroom and the occasional comedy routine thrown in for good measure.
“The dancers mostly come from dance schools and groups across Dorset and the south west, but we are very excited in this fourth show to have perform with us World Pole Dancing Champion Elena Gibson all the way from her Firebird Studio in Barcelona, Spain,” a spokesperson said.
Elena, a former ballet dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, has been a professional dance artist for over 20 years.
She is a choreographer, dance educator, coach, international jury member, presenter, author and mother.
She was awarded International Instructor of the year 2012, received the Industry Pioneer Award by the Pole Dance Community and was founder of the Pole Dancing School in London.

“It really does promise to be a show not to be missed,” the spokesperson added.
All money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support and tickets can be bought at The Exchange box office, costing £12 for adults and £8 for under 18s.
