Gillingham woman suffers ‘serious injuries’ in A30 crash near farm shop

A WOMAN suffered ‘serious injuries’ after a car crashed into a wall near a Dorset farm shop.

The incident happened on the A30 between East Stour and Shaftesbury, near The Udder Farm am on Saturday (July 29).

Dorset Police said a Suzuki Swift collided with a stone wall as it travelled from the direction of Shaftesbury toward East Stour.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle – a woman in her 40s and from Gillingham – was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

PC Duncan Roberts, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am very keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision itself or to the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to it, who have not yet spoken with police.

“Also, I would urge any motorists who have dashcam fitted to please check their footage and contact us if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.”
