Window and door smashed at Blandford bike shop in attempted break-in

A WINDOW and door glass were smashed at a Blandford bike shop during an attempted burglary.

The damage happened at Offcamber, in Salisbury Street, at around 3.20am this morning (May 30).

No entry was gained to the shop and nothing was stolen, police said.

Two people dressed in black clothing were reportedly seen to cause the damage, before running away.

PC Edward Lewis, of North Dorset police, said: “Officers attended and carried out searches of the area, however the offenders were not located.

“I am now appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area to please get in touch.

“Also, I would like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage.”
