Wincanton to remember the fallen at VJ80 service

RESPECTS will be paid to those that gave their lives in the Second World War in Wincanton next week.

This year marks 80 years since both the Victory in Europe Day and Victory in Japan Day, and remembrance services are taking place across the country to mark the occasion.

The Wincanton & District Royal British Legion is holding a short service at the Wincanton War Memorial at 10.55am next Friday (August 15), which is found in the grounds of the Wincanton Memorial Hall just off the High Street.

All are invited to attend.
