Welcome in the festive season in Dorchester with Julia’s House Christmas carols

JULIA’S House is bringing their popular Christmas carols evening to Dorchester for the first time this year.

Attendees can look forward to an evening singing along to timeless carols, listen to heart-warming readings from Julia’s House families and staff and enjoy the unique energy and harmonies of the Dorchester Rock Choir.

The special festive event is taking place at St Mary’s Church on Tuesday, December 3 from 7pm.

It is being hosted by the Dorset and Wiltshire children’s hospice, Julia’s House, to raise vital funds to help local families who are caring for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting our Christmas carols evening for the first time in Dorchester,” said Julia’s House fundraiser Sarah Agne.

“St. Mary’s Church will be the most magnificent setting for this special event.

“We’re looking forward to celebrating with the community this Christmas time and raising vital funds to support our care for local families.

“We invite everyone to come along and get into the festive spirit by singing their favourite carols and enjoying wonderful performances from local choirs.”

Julia’s House provides a lifeline of care for the most seriously ill children and their families across the two counties.

The charity’s specialist nurses and carers provide critical and compassionate support for every member of the family – both in families’ homes and at the vibrant Julia’s House hospices in Corfe Mullen and Devizes.

This essential service is provided completely free to families, thanks almost entirely to kind donations and fundraising.

Tickets are £10 and are available to book on the charity’s website, with mince pies and mulled wine included.

Doors open at 6:15pm for a 7pm start. Tickets cost £10 per adult, £5 per child and under fives go free.
