Weather warning issued for heavy rain in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset

A WEATHER warning forecasting heavy rain affecting Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset has been issued.

The Met Office has warned downpours may cause “some flooding and disruption to travel”.

A yellow weather warning will be in place from midnight tonight until 6pm on Thursday evening (November 16).

Met Office forecasters said people could expect:
* Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
* Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
* Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
* Some interruption to power supplies and other services possible
