Vegan ‘megamarket’ set for Dorchester next month

ALL things vegan will be on the menu at an event in Dorchester next month.

The Dorset Vegan MegaMarket – formerly Dorchester Vegan MegaMarket – returns on August 12 and 13, with 50-plus stalls set to offer a raft of goods and information at the outdoor event.

The market runs at the Maumbury Rings Roman Amphitheatre in Dorchester from 10am to 4pm each day.

“With free entry and a lovely outdoor grass venue, everyone can come and enjoy this superb event,” a spokesperson said.

“And with a massive amphitheatre you can bring your own blankets or chairs for relaxing and dining.”

Stalls will offer hot and cold food and drinks, cakes, ice-cream, cheeses and more, alongside products from health and beauty care, ethical clothing, eco-friendly products, jewellery, information and advice.

“With all stalls under gazebos, the Vegan MegaMarket can go ahead rain or shine and, if weather permits, there will be an inflatable play zone with bouncy castles and slides, an additional attraction for the children,” the spokesperson added.

A Kids Art Workshop is also planned in the centre of the Rings on the Saturday of the event.
